A look behind the lens
Hello! I’m Kristina, the photographer behind Wilderlight.
I work with small businesses and makers who care deeply about what they create. My approach is calm and straightforward, using natural light and simple, thoughtful styling.
I know what it’s like to build something from scratch. I’ve been there, wrapping orders at the kitchen table, photographing new pieces on scraps of wood and soft linen, figuring things out step by step. That experience shapes the way I see your work and the way I capture it.
Wilderlight exists to support your journey. It’s for people who put time and care into what they make, and who want their images to feel as real and considered as their products.
My story
Before Wilderlight, I was running my own small creative brand for almost a decade. I did everything myself, from sketching designs to making products to wrapping parcels at the kitchen table. It was busy and a bit chaotic at times, but I loved it. It taught me a lot about what it really takes to build something from scratch.
Somewhere in the middle of all that, I found myself reaching for my camera more and more. I started noticing the way light fell across a surface and how handmade textures told their own quiet stories. I began photographing products for friends who were growing their own small businesses, and I realised how much I enjoyed helping them bring their ideas to life through images.
Over time, taking photos became the part of the process I looked forward to most. It’s what made me feel most at home. That’s how Wilderlight began, as a way to offer that same care to other small businesses, creating honest, down-to-earth imagery that reflects the time, heart and creativity behind what you make.
